In November of last year 2024, the Sudan Social Development Organization (SUDO)<\/strong> conducted an intensive training course targeting community actors from various parts of the state<\/strong>, with each state represented by two participants (a young man and a young woman). This initiative reflects SUDO\u2019s commitment to youth engagement and enhancing their role in local development<\/strong>.<\/p>

-Training of Trainers (TOT) in Organizations:<\/strong>
This segment focused on equipping participants with effective training skills<\/strong>, covering everything from designing and delivering training sessions<\/strong> to facilitation techniques and engaging learners<\/strong>. The course also emphasized evaluation and improvement of trainer performance<\/strong>, integrating modern training tools and methodologies<\/strong> to ensure knowledge transfer in innovative and inspiring ways.<\/p>

Advocacy Training:<\/strong>
This training introduced advocacy as a tool for social and political change<\/strong>, guiding participants on how to identify pressing community issues, design effective advocacy strategies, build alliances, and influence public policies<\/strong>. Practical exercises covered planning advocacy campaigns, engaging with decision-makers, and utilizing media to amplify community messages<\/strong>.<\/p>

\u00a0Through these trainings, SUDO<\/strong> aims to empower young people to become proactive leaders in their communities<\/strong>, equipped with the necessary tools and skills to drive sustainable positive impact<\/strong>.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

From May to October 2024, the **Sudan Social Development Organization (SUDO) implemented a health project in Kulbus Locality, West Darfur, with support from *UNICEF*, to provide primary healthcare and health awareness to families affected by conflicts in the region. The project covered *three health facilities* in *Jumeiza Al-Sheikh, Hajer Laban, and Adawi* areas, reaching approximately *4,915 families, equating to 26,000 beneficiaries*<\/div><\/div>
The project included the provision of **primary healthcare services** and health education, as well as **chlorinated drinking water**. Volunteers and healthcare staff worked to raise awareness about prevalent diseases, including **eye infections, general diarrhea, infant diarrhea, malaria, pneumonia, and intestinal worms**, as well as the importance of **using latrines** and **washing hands with soap and water**. Children were also regularly vaccinated against **childhood diseases**<\/div><\/div>

From May to December 2024, the Sudan Social Development Organization (SUDO) is implementing the Emergency Response Project in Karari locality in partnership with UNICEF, aimed at fostering awareness of hygiene practices and disease prevention.<\/div><\/div>
The project includes cleaning and awareness campaigns, the distribution of essential hygiene materials such as brooms and buckets, pond filling, and mosque cleaning.<\/div><\/div>
The attached video highlights activities conducted in Al-Hara 51, near one of the water intervention sites (Al-Hara 51 borehole). These efforts have reached approximately 2,000 families, promoting healthy practices and disease prevention.<\/div><\/div>

Conclusion of the Multi-Purpose Cash Assistance Project (CCS-BHA) in Habila**<\/div><\/div>
The Sudan Social Development Organization (SUDO), in partnership with IRC and supported by USAID-BHA, has concluded its project to provide multi-purpose cash assistance in Habila locality.<\/div><\/div>
A total of 985 families benefited from the project, with each family receiving a total of 840,000 SDG.<\/div><\/div>
This support significantly eased living burdens and improved the lives of the most vulnerable households in the region.<\/div><\/div>

From May to December, Sudan Social Development Organization (SUDO), with support from UNICEF, continues its campaign to vaccinate children against diseases in Kulbus locality, West Darfur State.<\/div><\/div>
So far, the team has conducted 15 field visits, covering Adwi area in the Dar Maqtah administrative unit, reaching 382 households and impacting a total of 2,369 individuals, including 1,198 women.<\/div><\/div>
This campaign reflects SUDO\u2019s commitment to enhancing public health and protecting children in the local community from disease.<\/div><\/div>
